When Pablo was born, his parents desperately wanted him to be as artistic as them, and giving a name like Pablo (as in Picasso) should help, right? But Pablo doesn't seem to have any gift at all, that is until he discovers his ability to predict, through his passion for cartoons. What follows is a hilarious, thrilling, non-stop and often dark adventure, as Pablo is kidnapped and realises that his 'gift' is highly desirable - some people will go to any lengths to benefit from it! Even with the help of his trusty cartoon sidekick Richie Rich, how will Pablo ever get out of this one?
Anthologies My Stories Appear in
These anthologies from Macmillan are great for your little brother or sister, or anyone else who's not quite ready for my novels! The next one's going to be Ballet Stories, followed by one about mermaids...
Ballerina Stories. Among the gems featured in this gorgeously graceful collection are Geraldine McCaughrean's classic retelling of "The Nutcracker"; Fiona Dunbar's quirky modern-day take on the same story, in which Clara struggles to conquer her phobia of mice; a special one-off "Nina Fairy Ballerina" story about Nina's nerve-frazzling audition to become a pupil at the Royal Academy of Fairy Ballet; the tale of Bunty the ballet-mad walrus (yes, walrus) and a Julia Donaldson Princess Mirrorbelle story featuring some rather special ballet slippers ...So whether you've twirled on pointe, danced in a recital or just about mastered first position, "Ballerina Storie" is guaranteed to put the sparkle in your steps!
Princess Stories. Little girls who love princesses will be tickled pink by this gorgeous, generously illustrated collection of ten stories. Exciting, funny, charming and royally entertaining, here is a feast of delight for any child who longs to be a princess!
Pirate Stories. Haunted wooden legs, captains good and evil, parrots a-plenty - they're all here in this wide-ranging collection of illustrated pirate stories, brought to you by authors such as Cornelia Funke, Colin McNaughton and John Grant. Read them while you're scrubbing the decks, walking the plank or navigating the open seas. Ooh-arr. 'I was hooked from page one' - - "Pirate Times". 'Totally scurv-acious!' - "Jolly Roger Weekly".
Fairy Stories. Little girls will love being spirited away to fairyland by this gorgeous illustrated collection of ten stories. They will visit the wonderful world of dream fairies, funny fairy godmothers, a sweet-toothed cake fairy and a fairy who has a lot to learn about friendship.
I may only have done a cartoon for it, but Lines in the Sand is a very special book, with contributions from dozens of top writers and artists. Most importantly, all royalties and publisher's profits will go to UNICEF to directly fund the bringing of aid to child victims of the war in Iraq.

Hi Fiona, during the weekend I found the hardback copy of toonhead and it was the same in the paperback copy. I fixed it so there are now 31 chapters. Superbrain saves the day again!
hi fiona i have just finished divine freaks i was GRIPPED it is amazin cant wait to read fire and roses xxx
Hi Fiona I have read Chryssie in the dryworld in mermaid stories and there’s something I discoved that toonhead has two chapter twenty twos! But I was a decetive ans sorted out the chapters by using my pencil. And fiona, your book has 31 chapters, not 30 chapters! so it was a printing error. mystery sloved!
Hello Hannah! You’re a different Hannah from “Superbrainy” (below) I believe, but you ARE super-brainy! How do you like that? Not me, nor my editor, nor my copyeditor noticed that one – but you did! And I have to admit, it was MY mistake, not the printer’s. Well spotted!
I had a lot of fun writing those short stories – I’d like to do more!
Thanks fiona, I am a very clever person
by the way, Call me Superbrainy that’s my blog name.
Are you a book blogger, Hannah? What is your web address?

Hello…
I haven’t read ANY of your books (yet), and after visiting this amazing website, I am sure that I would enjoy ALL your books. I saw ‘Truth Cookie’ at my local library, so next time I go, I think I’ll give it a go! I also saw the trailer for Kitty Slade and that looks great too.. I think I want to read them all! Please have a visit to New Zealand, I would love to get my friends into reading your books!
See you!
Jemima
Hi Jemima
Wow, thank you! I’ll definitely pass this on to my designer. I hope my books live up to your expectations…who am I kidding? Of course they will far exceed them! She said, modestly. And I would LOVE to come to New Zealand – but I will have to wait until my publisher wants to send me there. It’s a long way! Well, do please visit again after you’ve read something of mine, and let me know what you think.

Hi Sawawii Well, thanks! Hey, you might want to have your say over on Kitty’s own page, too. Did you do the wordsearch yet?
I LOVE Kitty Slade she rocks and you rock
Hello Catie! I’m delighted you enjoyed The Truth Cookie so much; thank you for telling me! Do read Cupid Cakes and Chocolate Wishes; you can then move on to Silk Sisters and Kitty Slade…maybe even Toonhead as well!
Fiona,
I recently read your book “The Truth Cookie,” and now it’s one of my favorites! You’re a FANTASTIC author and I look forward to reading your other books!
Hi Barakat! Thank you…I love Toonhead too. But I’ve just noticed a mistake in the blurb here: it’s Richie ROACH, not Richie Rich! He’s a cockroach, of course. Not a Rich person in a Macaulay Culkin movie. Will have to fix!
Thanks again
I love toon head. And I will love to have a sidekick like Richie Rich
Thanks Andrea! I had such fun writing it.
Me and my girls absolutely love Princess Dragon Breath.
